Introducing the Somnia™ App: Your Companion for Holistic Rest

For years, my mission has been helping people reconnect with their bodies to achieve true, restorative rest. Sleep can be evermore elusive as we age, and I’ve overcome debilitating insomnia, but it does require a continuous connection to self-care.  Today, I am excited to share a passion project that takes that mission to the next level. I’m developing a free web app called Somnia™, designed to act as your personalized guide to better sleep and holistic well-being.

When it comes to overcoming sleeplessness, looking at the nighttime hours is only half the equation. True rest is built during the day. The importance of daily holistic wellness tracking lies in uncovering the hidden connections between our daily lifestyle choices and our sleep efficiency. Sleep doesn’t happen in a vacuum; how we manage stress, what we eat, and our emotional state directly impact how deeply we sleep. By tracking these variables mindfully each day, we can pinpoint specific habits that disrupt our rhythm and reinforce the patterns that support it.

As you can see from the dashboard, Somnia integrates proven Somatic CBT-I (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia) principles with effortless tracking for mood, diet, and lifestyle activities. Through the intuitive “Quick Actions” interface, you can seamlessly log your sleep, check in with your emotional health, track meals, and access grounding breathing practices. The app pulls this data together to reveal your overall Sleep Score, helping you see the big picture of your physical and mental health.

Somnia is still in Beta, and I’ll be adding more calming graphics and wind down music, and because I built this to genuinely serve our community, your voice is vital. We are just testing right now, so your honest feedback and feature recommendations are warmly welcome!
